Food Review: Sukho Thai
ashley | I love Thai food and am always looking for an excuse to try new Thai restaurants, so whenSukho Thai opened on Parliament Street conveniently right by my man’s office, it was a no brainer for take out dinner on a busy weeknight.
He ordered the traditional chicken Pad Thai ($13.50) while I opted for the spicier Pad Kee Mao ($14) with tofu and no mushrooms.
The Good: These dishes were nothing but good! The Pad Kee Mao was delightfully spicy and flavourful, exactly what I was hoping and the perfect comfort food after a long day of work. Not to mention, the double bagged and solid take out containers kept the food impressively hot even after a 40-minute commute home.
The Bad: Other than the fact that both locations are too far from my office to eat regularly, there isn’t really anything negative about what we had. The menu doesn’t seem to have a huge variety, but there are enough options to try a few different things.
Overall: This is definitely going to become a staple in our quick-dinner repertoire. Hopefully one day we’ll have a chance to dine in and check out the restaurant atmosphere.
