Dark Side II: Highway of Horror Tour hits Toronto Next Week!

posterThings are getting a little dark and scary this week here at CityGirlScapes with the Dark Side II: Highway of Horror tour stop. If you’ve yet to hear anything about the Dark Side II tour, let us enlighten you. Simon and Schuster Canada has been taking some of today’s best selling horror writers on the road across Canada for an author tour.

Nick CutterRob Pobi, and Andrew Pyper have already made their mark in Kingston, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City, with upcoming stops in Windsor, Toronto, Vancouver and Aurora through March and April. You can read all about the tour and dates on the official website.

We’ve been fans of Nick Cutter for a while now, having read his debut The Troop in 2013 and The Deep in 2014. Both books were bone chilling and still creep us out today. We’re also familiar with Andrew Pyper’s work, having chris pinebeen haunted by The Demonologist over the last year. So when Simon & Schuster Canada offered us the opportunity to check out Pyper’s new book, The Damned and introduced us to Rob Pobi’s Harvest, we couldn’t have been more thrilled – or frightened – of what these books would show us.

Check back tomorrow for a review of The Damned and on Thursday for a review of Harvest.

In the mean time, prepare yourself for two nights of VIP horror fun when the Dark Side II: Highway of Horror tour stops into Toronto on March 13 and April 2. You will not want to miss these nights.

Authors Nick Cutter (Craig Davidson) and Andrew Pyper are reigning godfathers of Canadian horror stories; between the two of them they have invented ghouls and wraiths of every ilk. While penning the ‘penny dreadful’ may seem as simple as falling off a log, making a reader’s skin crawl is a hard-earned skill set. Come and meet two masters of the genre.
