Book Review: The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor – Part One

Untitled-1

veronica | I love all things The Walking Dead, but I just can’t with this. The Walking Dead: The Fall of the Governor – Part One by Robert Kirkman and Jay Bonansinga is so poorly written and I think Bonansinga wrote this with his thesaurus open the entire time. While the story was fine, I just felt like it was a slap job. This was only supposed to be a trilogy but in what no doubt is a means to take in more money (can you believe they want $29 for this crap?), they split this in two. Thankfully, despite my need to complete what I start, I was able to pick this up at the discount table for $8 and I still think I got ripped off.

In this installment we finally meet Rick, Glenn and Michonne but all’s not well. The Governor has grown too big for his britches and the town folk aren’t happy. If you’re an avid follower of the television series or the comic, what happens in this so called novel is not a surprise.

But I shouldn’t complain too much since I pretty much read it in one sitting. That also speaks to how simplistic and shoddily put together this is.
